According to a study by IMS Health, Wikipedia is the single leading information source for patients and physicians.
The study shows that 50% of physicians who use the internet have consulted Wikipedia for information. It turns out that some of the more rare topics are the most frequently researched. Quartz put together an overview of the top 25 health-related Wikipedia articles in 2013:
